3t's with Julia Stainton
Today’s technique comes to us from Julia Stainton from London, ON. Julia is a mother of FIVE and the design team coordinator for Cornish Heritage Farms. Julia blogs regularly at http://bellepapier.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/.
Here is Julia’s technique:
“I love creating clear cards with Clear Card Sheets: a strong, stiff clear sheet that can be cut or scored, these make great original cards with a fun twist.”

supplies: clear card sheet,Cornish Heritage Farms; patterned paper, Mocha Chica from the Kim Hughes Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms; stamp, Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock™ by Cornish Heritage Farms; ink, Tsukineko; ribbon, May Arts; felt flower, Fancy Pants; mini safety pin, Creative Impressions; other, bone folder, sewing machine
Here are Julia’s steps to creating this beautiful card:
Cut Clear Card Sheet to 5.25 x 10.5” size; fold in half (these sheets are quite firm so crease fold well with bone folder or another firm object until crisp).

Ink Scrapblock™ with Stazon ink.

Stamp onto front of card; allow to dry well.

Stitch around front of card if desired.

Adhere lined paper panel inside card.

Adhere paper layers on card front.

Adhere felt flower with a glue dot; pin with safety pin; tie on ribbon.

Here are a few tips from Julia:
Scrapblocks™ are 6x6” rubber stamps that can be stamped with or without the clear acrylic block.
Stazon ink is fabulous for stamping on a large variety of non-porous surfaces that you cannot stamp on with dye ink. If you do not have this solvent ink, you can also ink the stamp with acrylic paint dabbers.
Transparencies from an office supply store may also be used but will not be as crisp
When signing your card, make sure you write where it will be covered up by layers on the front panel.
Thanks Julia, for sharing this great technique with us!
