Good Monday morning friends! We had an exciting weekend at ScrapFest and I want to thank all those readers who stopped by to tell us how much they love Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. We always appreciate those kind words. Kimber McGray, Vicki Boutin and Kathy Thompson were on hand to teach some amazing classes while Lisa Kisch, Sarah Hodgkinson and I taught many make n' takes and talked with many readers. Another fabulous ScrapFest and we all cannot wait to do it again in April, 2011! But don't forget if you missed ScrapFest and will be in downtown Toronto this weekend, we will be at the Creativ Festival Friday throug Sunday!
This week we have one of our favourite designers joining us. Lynn Ghahary never ceases to amaze us with her creativity and she is here with yet another amazing layout!
"Hey everyone! I am so excited to be this week’s guest designer here on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog. Can you believe that Halloween is less than 2 weeks away? My how the days are just flying by! As much as I wish time would slow down just a bit (I need to catch my breath! Whew!) I’m really excited, as Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. There is just something so fun about dressing up and visiting our neighbors’ houses one by one, collecting yummy goodies and treats.
Keeping with the Halloween theme, my project for today is a little bit spooky, a whole lotta kooky (just check out those costumes! LOL), and lots and lots of fun! I used the eerily cute Hocus Pocus collection from Pink Paislee to create my layout about our “spooky crew.”
At first glance this may look like a single photo layout but with a wave of my magic wand and a little hocus pocus (can I get an “abracadabra” please?) my layout flips open to reveal SIX additional photos! Ta da!
So now I am challenging you to create a little magic on your next paper crafting project by including something hidden that can be revealed. It can be journaling or a message tucked in a pocket or envelope, additional photos in an accordion or flip fold as I’ve done here, or any number of other possibilities (surprise me!). Be sure to come back here and link up your projects so I can see what you create! I’ll be back this Wednesday to cast another spell and create a little more magic. Til then … happy hauntings!" ~ Lynn
Be sure to join us tomorrow where we get up close and personal with Rebecca Cross, owner of Pink Paislee! Have a great Monday!
