Happy Hump Day, everyone! It's time for a project, or four, to get you all fired up. With the weekend coming up quickly (and it's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada), I hope I can inspire you to grab an hour or two for yourself to whip up something crafty.
Catherine asked me several months ago if I would be able to teach for her at two upcoming events here in Ontario. Given the fact that I am a teacher by profession and the fact that Catherine is one of the sweetest people I have ever known, I just couldn't say, "No." The first event is ScrapFest in Oshawa, ON, on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. While I won't be teaching a class, I will be instructing several make and takes on Saturday. (see below for free ticket giveaway!)
The second event is the CreativFestival in Toronto, ON. I will be teaching a class on Saturday, October 23, called "Endless Paper Possibilites". The class includes a double page layout ("You are Cute"...see below), several cards ("Countdown to Christmas"...see below) and a bookmark ("Who Loves You"...see below) that we will be making from the scraps. The layout is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck from her new book PageMaps 2! (LOVE THIS BOOK!). There are very limited spots left in this class and for the $10 kit fee you will be receiving WAY more than $10 worth of product....trust me! I will also be instructing a make and take on Saturday, October 23 during the Scrapbook & Cards Today "Paper Playground" sessions (Butterfly Bookmark and Card...see below). We would love to see you come out to these events and have some fun with us!
A special thank you to Core'dinations, Jillibean Soup and Fiskars for providing us with supplies for both of these events.
So, without further adieu, here are some of my projects to get your creative juices flowing:

In order to create the peek-a-boo window on the sliding bookmark above I used the new "Everywhere Punch" by Fiskars. It's an awesome tool which allows you to put circles, scalloped circles, squares and scalloped squares anywhere on a project. For a step-by-step instructional video, please watch this YouTube video.
