Growing up in Ireland we always got to have special treats on St. Patrick’s day. It always falls in the middle of Lent for Catholics where we tend to give up treats until Easter. St Patrick’s day was a special day where we were allowed to have treats, as he is the patron saint of Ireland. I wanted to give my kids special St Patrick’s day treats and what better way than to use my digital supplies to make some treat toppers.
I fit 4 toppers on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I just used regular cardstock when printing - these toppers are going to be thrown away so I don’t need to waste my photo paper! Dividing the paper into 4 quarters in Photoshop or Elements is easy using Guides and Rulers. View rulers by selecting View > Rulers from the Menu Bar. With the Move tool selected, click on the ruler to the left of the editing window and drag to the right. You’ll see the guide line appear as you drag the ruler. I made my divisions at 5.5 (half way across my 11x8.5 canvas) and another at 4.24 (half way down). I added my digital embellishment and word art, and finished it off with a personal message.
After printing, I trimmed the paper into four 5.5 x 4.25 pieces, folded them in half lengthwise and used them on top of little treat bags that I filled with Lucky Charms!

Love it! I hope you don't mind if I use it for the 1st & 2nd graders that I work with. I volunteer at our local school and this will be fun to bring tomorrow on my normal Wed. volunteer day. Thanks!
