Good Monday morning! We hope you had a great weekend and if you missed our final birthday prize from Friday, be sure to check it out! We have another great week planned and are kicking it off with a designer challenge with the fabulous Kelly Purkey! We also had an opportunity to catch up with Kelly Purkey and ask her some great questions HERE.
NOLA Supplies: American Crafts cardstock, Crate paper patterned paper, Studio Calico patterned paper, Echo Park stickers, Hero Arts stamps, StazOn ink, Ephiphany Crafts buttons, American Crafts pen
If you know me, you know that I love to travel! Last December I made the trip to New Orleans, Louisiana for the first time. It had never been a city that I had much interest in going there, but when I arrived I fell in love. It's such a beautiful place full of history and culture... and amazing food!
My friend took this photo for me on Bourbon street. I love how it captures the colors of NOLA so well and of course I had to use colorful paper in my layout. I also stamped onto vellum with one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps. I made sure to use StazOn so that it didn't smear and also a Slick Writer from American Crafts.
My challenge to you this week is to scrap a layout about you! I'm all about putting yourself (and not just your family) into your scrapbooks. So let's see you shine as the star! Link your layouts back to this post. I would love to see YOU!
~ Kelly

I love Kelly's style. I have been following her since taking a class or two from her at CKC a couple of years ago.

This is such a great layout, I love Kelly's style. Layouts about us are such fun to do too, I always picture my kids looking back at them some day and learning more about the woman I was, not just the mom I am to them then.

I love Kelly's layout and challenge, too. The only layouts I have done of myself are as a child. I need to do one of me.
