Good morning! With a new year always comes some exciting news and today we are thrilled to announce that the SCT design team family is growing! We have been a long time fan of this designer. Her clean style, great eye for colour and fun pages make her a perfect fit for the SCT team.
Let's give a big SCT welcome to Lynn Ghahary as she joins our incredibly talented group of designers! With a wealth of experience in the industry, if you don't know her already, you'll love seeing her work amongst our pages. Of course we wanted you to get to know Lynn a little better, so we asked her some fun questions which you can read about here. We also put Lynn to work right away and asked her to host our first Monday Challenge in 2012!
"Hi everyone! It’s Lynn Ghahary and I am just so thrilled to be joining the team here at Scrapbook & Cards Today. I have been a fan of Scrapbook & Cards Today for quite some time now so this really is like a dream come true for me. Thank you so much Catherine, Becky, and staff for the opportunity!
If you are like me the week after Christmas is usually spent taking down your holiday decorations. As the after holiday clean up proceeds I always feel so guilty throwing away the many cards we receive from friends and family so I usually just stuff them in an envelope along with other memorabilia from the season. Well this year I decided I wanted a simple (and quick!) way to keep those holiday memories in my scrapbook along with my other holiday themed pages and layouts. To accomplish this I decided to create a pocket page to hold all of those precious photo cards we receive throughout the season. Here’s a little peek of what my pocket page looks like …
My challenge to you is to find a way to include those holiday cards in your scrapbooks. It could be creating a pocket page as I did or maybe cutting apart the cards and creating a photo collage. Or perhaps you have another idea for keeping those holiday memories close at hand which we hope you will share in a link below. Whatever it is I’d love to see what you create. Congrats on your new position, Lynn! I know how difficult to throw away those gorgeous cards we receive and they accumulate so quickly, so I take photos of them and store them in an album on my pc.
