What are you doing this summer...and one more!

Good morning!  It's the last week of school for my little kindergartner, and soon my husband and kids will be piling in the car and driving 19 hours east to the tiny island of Prince Edward Island, Canada. I've been here for the past month working, just waiting for my family to arrive, and for summer to truly begin!

I took the opportunity to do a layout about the important things I want to accomplish this summer. I really want to be present for all the little moments that will stay with us for a lifetime. Do you have goals for the summer? Recipes you want to try? Games you want to play? Places you want to visit? Try putting them down in a layout--- and then see what the summer will bring!

I can't wait to look back at this layout at the end of the summer and compare notes!  I hope you all have a great summer and do all the things on your list too. ~   Lisa Kisch

A perfect twine holder...and one more!

Looking for a great summer project with the kids?  We loved Aly Dosdall's fabulous upcycling project that is perfect for any desk!  We especially loved how Aly altered a tin can to make the perfect twine holder.  Now that's clever!

"This Beautiful Life" with Lisa Kisch...and one more!

Good morning everyone, and welcome to Designer Challenge Monday! Today I am challenging you to distill your journaling down to a few words--- just the essentials!

I love to journal, and write out every detail of story. Sometimes, though, the fewest words can have the most powerful meaning. When I took this photo on Bloor St. in Toronto on our way for an impromptu lunch one day, the title "This Beautiful Life" immediately popped into my head.

When I got home to scrap it, I knew I either had to write down every beautiful thing in my life (a very long list, indeed), or distill it down to just a few words. I chose the latter, and a few mini letter stickers in the frames printed on this patterned paper made this a very quick page indeed!



It also made it one of my very favourite layouts ever.  So challenge on!  I'd love to see your layout with few words too so just link them up below!  Have a great Monday!  ~  Lisa
