A couple of weeks ago, we asked our readers to share some of their favourite "tips" and we would love to pass on some of them to you today!
Instead of letting my scraps pile up, I trim what I can to 4x6 for mini books, 2x3 for my quote book, and 4x5 for card fronts. That way, when I'm ready to create on a whim, I can just shop my stash without having to think. Plus, it makes me use my scraps! ~ Monica Wright
When I prepare for a crop, I match my pictures to my paper and throw it all in a huge 2 gallon zip lock bag. If I am really ambitious I add an idea I have found, and all the embellishments I might use, and even punches, etc. This way I am not dragging the whole house with. They are my kits. ~ Lori Anderson
I pick out lots of different pictures that move me at that moment and stick them in a file. another time, I'll go through and write down the journaling. Another time I'll go through and pick out papers & embellishments. Finally, I'll sit down and just make the page. ~ Jet H.
I find my journaling on scrapbook pages is always better if I record thoughts shortly after the event, either in a journal, in an on-line file or in a notebook. If I wait, I forget little things or the emotional reaction isn't as strong. ~ Brenda B.
I use a wine cork for my xacto blade. Keeps me protected. Thanks! ~ Pam

My foolproof method of pre-conditioning my acrylic stamps is to ink the stamp up with VersaMark ink then my regular ink for the first couple of stamps. You just have to be sure to clean the stamp if doing multiple images so that you don't transfer any color ink to the VersaMark pad.

Thanks for sharing these tips! I especially love the first one - I've been reticent to do this very thing, thinking I may need a 8x2 strip or something -- but who am I kidding?

I have an large accordion folder that I store my scraps in. Alphabetical order. When I need a tiny scrap in a particular color-I grab the folder.

I like the scraps ideas.
I have started storing items in the clear packaging from produce. They come in a variety of size, seal nicely, easy to see contents and durable. Plus, readily available.

I have some 0.5 oz. bottles of craft glue. As I use the glue, if I lay the bottle down on it's side, it takes shaking and beating the bottom of the bottle to get the glue out of the spout again.
So, I purchased some pvc coupling about 1.5" diameter by 3" tall to use as a stand for the bottle (spout end down). Really helps the glue coming out when I need it :-)
