Good Morning SCT Friends!
As scrapbookers we are always collecting! We collect photographs, pieces of memorablia and most often lots and lots of products for scrapbooking. At the magazine, we are often asked for ideas on how to organize all of these products without having to spend too much money.
Today we share with you organizational ideas from Jeanette Smith, one of our readers. Jeanette has created a very functional craft room.
To create a desk Jeanette used a sheet of MDF, trimmed the front edge with baseboard and supported the two ends with shelving which she uses to hold larger items. Above her desk, she has homemade wooden boxes with removable shelves for her 12x12 papers.
For easy viewing and storage of her stickers and rubons, Jeanette hung up an old curtain rod with a bunch of pinch clips so she can quickly grab and return her items when finished with them.
For other items, Jeanette hung a piece of pegboard. Using different sized hooks, brackets and baskets, she is able to hang rulers, stamps, scissors, etc. and even organize her embossing powders while keeping them out of the way but still being able to reach them for ease of use.
Jeanette has other wonderful storage ideas that you can see on her blog here. Thank you Jeanette for sharing your organizational tips!
Today is also the July release of Colour Suite! This month Sarah Webb took on the Colour Suite challenge while Summer Fullerton has taken a much needed vacation. Here are this month's colours and Sarah's take on the challenge.

I really like the peg board and curtain rod ideas! I already have a Clip it Up that my Thickers and some embelllies hang on, but it's already getting a little overgrown. Moving the embellies off and onto a rod would make them more accessible. Thanks for sharing.

I love to see other people's organization ideas for scrapbooking rooms. Right now I have a small area in the spare bedroom that we furnished as my crafting-area but ones we moved to a bigger house I'll be getting my own room. Offcours I am already looking for great ideas and good storage solutions although I don't even know what the room is going to be like in space and shape! lol! Thank you for sharing and see you all tomorrow for the party! ;-)

Love looking at new organizing options... I'm a freak like that :). But want to thank Jeanette for the great curtain rod tip! I have been looking at towel racks but they don't come cheap and I just changed some curtains in one of my rooms and had to change the rod and voila - I have the exact same rod as Jeannette left over! Doesn't take much to get me excited - lol.
