Hi everyone - Paula Gilarde back today with some new inspiration. Even before I started scrapbooking, I always loved the idea of keeping memorabelia. I'd keep tickets, labels and booklets from places I visited as momentos. I just didn't know what to do with it them. Now I like to include them in my layouts. Usually I only include one or two things but I collected so many on a trip to New York city that I decided to include lots of them on one layout!
First I gathered all my bits and pieces - tickets from shows, the subway and places we visitied. I laid them all out on in an orderly fashion to fit in a square. I used leaflets and travel-themed stickers to fill in the blank spots. I finished it off by adding a journaling spot, my title and some twine. It was a fun way to record our trip and I hope it inspires you to do the same!

I did this a few months ago and loved using some much memorabilia. I always end up with more than I use on my layouts so I need to remember this.

I added lots of memorabilia when I did an album about my DH and I trip to Alaska. I tried to save everything to help us remember. We were on a cruise and there were some stops where my pictures didn't do justice to the breathtaking beauty, so I cut some pictures from the brochures and included the days events from the ship's newspaper. I love flipping through it all. I even adhered the little plastic bag of gold flakes we found while panning for gold!

that's what I had planned to do with my 3 day trip out to Mt Rushmore - we had so many ticket stubs and brochures and pix, that I was overwhelmed. I wanted to use them in a layout, but did not know how - and now I do ! Thanks for sharing this wonderful layout - the trip pops right off of the solid background !
