Have you joined us all day? If you haven't then start here and if you have, thank YOU for joining us for World Cardmaking Day! We loved doing this hourly format and hope you did too!
One of our favourite cardmakers is the 4 time author Kimber McGray! Her approach to cardmaking is fresh, fun and interesting. From interactive cards, cards with hidden parts and great cards for everyday, we think you'll love this birthday set she created from this PageMaps sketch...
Basic Steps for these cards: (card size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
1. Cut the bottom pattern paper 4"x4" and the top pattern paper 4" x 1 1/2". Adhere both to the front of the card, centered right to left.
2. Layer the lined sticker 1/2" from the top of the bottom pattern paper, centered right to left.
3. Layer the scallop border sticker and the large sentiment sticker. Adhere to the card with foam adhesive squares.
4. Finish card by adding the oval sticker to the and the wordfetti sticker to the front of the card as shown.
Kimber's favorite card making tip: Layer basic stickers and die-cuts with foam adhesive to give dimension and to make custom embellishments for pennies.
and for our last post we of course have...
some prizes to end the day! Have you heard of the Jillibean Soup Card Kitchen? It is a great monthly card kit put together by Jillibean Soup and Kimber herself! Since they love our SCT readers so much, they have offered the October kit to one lucky fan!
Look at all the goodness!!! And the sweet Kimber McGray has also offered an autographed copy of her latest book for our prize package!
and to top off the day, we would like to offer another copy of CardMaps Vol. 2...
and a copy of our brand new, not yet released 2013 PageMaps sketch calendar which also has some great CardMaps in it too! A full year of inspiration and techniques in this calendar!
What a cardmaking, full of inspiration, final grand prize, package that we can't wait to send out to one lucky reader! Just leave a comment below by Thursday, October 18th! Good luck!
