We are thrilled to have Becky Fleck, the creator of PageMaps and CardMaps (and our illustrious editor-in-chief at Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine!) joining in our fun today with an EXCLUSIVE card sketch for the month of November! How fun!
Supplies: cardstock, Stampin’ Up!; glitter, Doodlebug; pens, Copic; adhesive, Xyron; foam dots, American Crafts
Becky adapted this sketch and created a beautiful holiday card from it! If you are on the receicing end of a Becky Fleck card, then you know she used her "big girl crayons" (her words, not mine!!!) and did some incredible Copic colouring. She is a master!
Instructions:
1. Create a 5.5”x5.5” card base from red cardstock that opens on the bottom.
2. Stamp an image onto white cardstock twice. Trim one image to 5”x5” and mat it onto a 5.625”x5.625” piece of dark green cardstock. Adhere it to the center of the card front.
3. Trim out the center 3”x3” design from the second image. Color with Copic pens and glitter the center of the poinsettia.
4. Mat the image onto a 3.125”x3.125” piece of dark green cardstock. Using foam adhesive, adhere it to the center of the large image, lining the design up as shown.
Becky's Tip: Before applying glitter to a section of your design, rub a dryer sheet across the surface. This will remove the static on the paper and help prevent the glitter from migrating outside the area you want to sparkle up.
