Welcome to the August Colour Suite! This month I couldn’t resist a super fun bright fun selection of colors that totally reminded me of summer. I began with a trio of colours bright pink, yellow and teal. I then rounded out my Colour Suite with mint green and a very pale pink. The end result is a colour palette that makes me think of sunny days, snow cones and swimming pools! These days days I find I am constantly reaching for bright bold colours and this month was not any different.
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd/American Crafts, Border Sticker, Washi Tape, Crochet Heart: Bella Blvd., Decorative Brads and Rhinestones from Doodlebug, Alphas Jillibean Soup, Silhouette Cutting System, Tag Pebbles, Hemp Twine, Frames from Technique Tuesday, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, and various fonts
This month I also invited my friend and fellow designer Lisa Dickinson to join me and play with the Colour Suite. Lisa too picked up on my summer colour vibe. She told me that the fresh colors immediately made her think of summer. She opted to use an enlarged photo of her daughter that epitomizes the carefree, fun-filled season. Below the photo, she color-blocked various shades of the yellow, mint green, pink and turquoise using papers, tags, and various embellishments.
