Welcome to the weekend and Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday on the SCT blog! On the first Saturday of each month we invite our friends at Stampin' Up! to share their creativity with our readers. January is also a very exciting month for our friends at Stampin’ Up! as their Spring Occasions Catalogue is hot off the presses! It is always an exciting day when this lands in the office!
There are lots of fabulous finds in this catalogue, including the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit. Not only does this kit make for a quick and easy album, but it’s also a great way to get a sampling of these brand new products!
Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Angela McKay from North Vancouver, BC has taken this adorable album kit and transformed it into 8 amazing projects to inspire us. You won’t think this kit is just for scrapbooking once you see what she’s got up her sleeve!
“I loved the natural looking card stock that came in the kit and realized it could easily be incorporated into a fancy card by simply adding some gold embossing powder and tying it together with the gold foil paper in the background. This felt like the perfect wedding card to me.”
“The Fancy Foil Designer Vellum in the kit was a teaser that made me realize I absolutely had to have the 12x12 Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. The vellum would be perfect for creating wedding favours and the gold sequins are the perfect “bling” to finish it off.”
“The colours and designer paper in this kit make it appropriate for both genders, especially when you take advantage of all of the awesome little embellishments.”
“I couldn’t let that adorable little tag fade onto a scrapbook page and wanted to make it the focal point of a project. The gift box tag was the perfect home for it along with the flower that accents the colours in the tag.”
“I know the pear embellishment is small but it is so sweet and pulls out the background perfectly. It was the inspiration for a simple yet effective general occasion card.”
“I couldn’t resist using the adorable chipboard cover to make something. It was the perfect base for this magnetized refrigerator grocery list. I just added a few of the additional embellishments to create something that I’d love to look at day to day on the fridge.”
“ I love the way that the products and colours meld so seamlessly together in this kit. I couldn’t resist die cutting the gorgeous chipboard cover with the Oval Accents Die to show it off with some shape on this page.”
“One can never have enough Thank You cards on hand and there was so much extra designer paper left over that it was easy to create a layout that showed it off with a few of the cute embellishments.” ~ Angela
