It was in the 60s here in Utah yesterday. The 60s! At last, the weather matches the work. You see, I’ve been working on our Spring 2016 issue of the magazine since December. To say it’s given spring fever is an understatement. I’m SO excited to see warmer days and finally be able to share a few magazine sneak peeks with you. Here’s hoping it puts a little spring in your step, whether it’s 60 where you are or a chilly 40.
Much of what you know and love about SCT remains the same, but a new year does means a few new additions to the magazine. I’m not going to give away all of our secrets just yet, but I will give you a few clues.
- We’ve added a new column, and this project by Nancy Damiano is its star. Any guesses as to what this column might be all about?
- We’ve added another new column. Here’s a peek at one of its projects, made by Jess Forster. Any guesses on its subject matter?
- We have some new faces joining our editorial team with the launch of this issue, including talented Melissa Phillips, who will be taking over our popular Card Cafe column. Here’s just a taste of what she’s serving up.
As of this, our Spring 2016 issue, we’re officially 10 years old! Keep your eye on the blog in the coming weeks for some BIG news and announcements, including how you can win BIG prizes!
As part of the celebrating, we’ve included a Top 10 article in the spring issue, which has our design team members sharing their favourite go-to scrapbooking supplies. Here’s a peek at one of those pages, designed by Lisa Dickinson. Any guess what her favourite supply might be?
We just love reading your blog comments. So much so, in fact, that we’ve pulled those comments to put together another article in our spring issue—You Call the Shots. We’ve based the article on things you’ve said you’d like to see more of in our magazine. Virginia Nebel created this layout in response to a request for flair techniques. Wait ’til you see how she fashioned her designer flair. So cool!
