Wow this week is going quickly! We can’t believe that it is Wednesday already and that Halloween is only 2 days away! Kim Hughes is back today to share a fun technique with us—how to add glitter to porous surfaces like canvas or fabric. Perfect for fall, textured mediums like canvas, fabric, and felt are fun to work with and even embellish! Check out how Kim added glitter to some canvas letters from Making Memories.
Here is what you do:
step 1 randomly apply Zots (or other round glue dot) onto the canvas letter stickers
step 2 sprinkle glitter onto the adhesive dots and press down
step 3 tap off excess glitter
You can see that by glittering up only two of the canvas letters on the card, Kim creates both a focal point and a sentiment. How fun!

supplies: cardstock, Core’dinations; stickers, Making Memories; glue dots, Therm O Web; glitter, Art Glitter
ideas to note:
• Try using bigger flue dots and lining them up for a standard polka dot look
• Mix different sized glue dots for random polka dots
• Use adhesive strips instead of dots and create glittered stripes instead
