Designer Challenge with Summer!

We are back with Summer Fullerton today and of course, another great project for our viewing and creative pleasure!  Read on my friends...

Last week I did a little shopping with a girlfriend at one of my favorite stores, JCrew. I came home and unpacked my goodies and was taking my shopping bag to the recycling bin when I immediately stopped thinking the natural kraft bag could easily be altered into a fun gift bag.

Designer Challenge Monday with Summer Fullerton!

Good Monday morning!  For those of you enjoying a lazy Family Day in Canada or President's Day in the US or for our friends around the world where it is just a normal Monday morning, I hope our newest team member's challenge this morning is something to brighten your day!  Today one of my favourite papercrafters, Summer Fullerton, is here with a great challenge!  We have admired Summer's work for a long time and are thrilled that she has joined our creative team at Scrapbook & Cards Today for 2010!  You have seen some her work in our past issues and I am sure you will be as excited as we are to see more of her clean, elegant style!  Here is Summer's challenge:

We are a month and a half into the New Year how are resolutions holding up? I prefer to think of resolutions more as goals, little things I can accomplish all though out the year.  I was recently cleaning up my kitchen and snapped this photo of a collection cans and glass ready to go out to the recycling bin.

Recycling has become a huge part of our daily life and in 2010 one of my goals is to recycle more than I did in 2009. Here is a layout that celebrates how our family recycles.

Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Patterned Paper Tinkering Ink, Brads Bazzill, Rhinestones Kaizer Kraft, Beads Making Memories, Stick Pins JoAnns, font Prissy Frat Boy downloaded from the internet, decorative scissors Fiskars, DMC Floss, and Xyron Wishblade used to cut the title.

Your challenge this week is to go green on your next scrapbooking layout or project. To get your creative juices flowing try thinking about items you can repurpose to use on your layouts. Items such as office supplies like binder clips, shipping tags and paper clips or vintage buttons, packaging or fabrics.

Freebie Friday - Bo Bunny

YAY it is FRIDAY!  It has been a long, cold week here in Ontario but I am super excited about this week's giveaway!  All week we have featured Valentine's Day projects so of course we had to give away one of our favourite Valentine's lines today which is no other than Love Bandit from Bo Bunny. (I just heard your oooh and ahhhh!!!)  The bonus is that we are also giving you the matching Double Dot paper!  Can I just tell you that Double Dot paper is a staple in my scrap room and that every project needs just a little of it!
