Good Monday morning friends! Before we introduce the our very talented designer today we wanted to take a moment to thank EVERYONE who is participating in our very own Project 12! With a thank you to Davinie (her great idea) and Becky Fleck (her brilliant sketches), we heard from participants all over the world on Saturday with our January reveal. If you have not joined in the fun yet, don't be shy, get all the details here!
Now, on to regular scheduled program. Today's designer Vicki Boutin, is one of our favourite designers and with this very fun card, has a fun challenge for you...
I love to play with stamps! This set of stamps from Hampton Arts designed by Kelly Panacci had a few different "thanks" phrases so I decided to use all of them to create an interesting background for my card. I also used a variety of ink clolors and layered the stamped phrases before stamping "many thanks" in black. I then colored in the "thanks" portion with a pencil crayon and covered it with Glossy Accents. The owl image was stamped on patterned paper and cut out.
This is a quick way to create depth with any stamp phrases or patterns. So grab your stamps, some different inks and create an interesting background for your next card. Go ahead and don't be afraid to layer them! ~ Vicki
Thanks Vicki! And, just to let you in on a little secret, Vicki will be authoring a fabulous technique based article in each issue of SCT this year - you won't want to miss it. Mark your calendars for our release on March 26th - in stores and online.
Very cute and fun!

Would never have thought of using the same phrase but with different stamp styles; this will add a little style to any card for sure!
