i took this photo w/ my iphone a few days ago - http://gluestickgirl.typepad.com/moments/2010/04/mama-lets-go-on-an-adventure-he-said.html - and while it's not a "good" photo technically (um, it's a phone pic taken w/ a fun app), i keep coming back to it. i love that i have it. i love the angle, which i probably wouldn't have done w/ my regular camera. i love the story it tells. and it totally pulls at my heart to see a little boy when i pull it up - i'm not ready for my littlest to move beyond toddlerhood!

My son sliding into home plate during his baseball game

My son in his prom tux...how did we get here so quickly?

Sunrise picture I took one morning at our house.

A photo of a single violet in focus with a lawn of violets behind it out of focus. I was proud of myself for getting the angle right!

The photo of my daughter with her big tummy containing grandchild #3. A candid, happy photo that makes me smile. Never mind the endless grandson photos... they're all my favorites.

Lorraine the shot of your daughter is gorgeous, thanks for sharing!!

Lisa what a fun angle, and bad news mom, you can't hold them back :( That's like that last pic I posted - bad pic technically, taken with my phone I think? But my dd was so excited about her prom dress fitting and it just hit me at once - wow, she's graduating!

Please feel free to link us to your current favourite shot everyone!! We like sharing here at SCT :)

My daughter in her last two weeks of pregnancy! She was glowing!

My nieces 1st birthday on the weekend....opening presents and the best part was the "tissue"....I got picks of all of the kids throwing the tissue in the air and laughing.....they did'nt bother with the presents............it was a great time of howling, screeching and of course a little messy as the tissue had glitter squares on it which all fell off when they were tossing it in the air!!!!! Great fun!

They all sound like amazing photos, ladies!

the sunset in Bucerias, Mexico.
It was beautiful and tells a story.

Here's mine... I am *so* tempted to take the snowflake off his face, but I just love the black on white... the expression on his face...

Last summer was vacation time and with that time came the opportunity to use my new camera. I am always looking for tips to improve my picture taking and what a better time to try them out than when at the beach in a Fishing Community. Here are two that I took and didn't add any touch-ups.

and here is another one.

It is fun playing with a new camera but more fun when you have great people like you to learn from. Thanks for all your cool tips.

Oops! I gave the wrong links to these two pictures. Sorry Kathy! Here they are again.
And they other:

Margy Eastman

I'm a newbie at links, so I hope this works! I took this sort of tongue-in-cheek to mark the passing of my favorite pair of hiking boots. It's never a happy prospect to break in a new pair. I was just messing around on my lunch hour, but I really like it!

Jess I love that pic, snowflake and all!!

Dana - outstanding colour, beautiful pics!

Margy, that is an awesome shot!!!
