I love the look of the metal stars that you can use to decorate your home and thought that I might try to create something similar from paper to use on my projects.
Making these stars is fairly simple with the right tools.
1. I used my Cricut to cut out 3 stars using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. Click on Roly Poly and star. Two of my stars are 2" and one is 3".
2. Lay the star on the ScorPal board on one of the grooves. Draw your bone folder down from the top point to the 'v' that is directly across from it. Do that for each point on the star.
3. Fold the creases that run from the point of the star to the center so the crease is coming up towards you creating a peak. Do this on all points.
4. Fold the creases that run from the 'v' to the center of the store so the crease is going down away from you creating a valley. Do this on the 'v's.
5. Add some foam squares to the interior center of the star on the back. The little stars needed 2 foam squares layered on top of each other and the large star needed 3 foam squares layered on top of each other. Adhere to the card.
Give the 3-D stars a try. Let me know what you think!
