Good morning P12 followers! June is almost over and the summer is in full swing. While it’s hard to fit it in with warm sunshine, barbecue’s, and trips to the pool, keeping up with documenting family memories is still a must! This is all the more reason to participate in Project 12. One layout for the month, and you’re done! Let's get to the reveal and new sketch!
As a reminder, here’s the sketch Becky Fleck came up with for May:
And this is what I came up with this month:
The circle in the center of this sketch was really hard for me this month. I recreated it in my own way using a dinner plate and my sewing machine! You can see subtle hints of it in red thread. I also added a photo. I needed something else in that area of my layout, and that silly chicken needed documenting this month. A Jillibean Soup collection made this layout easy to put together. One thing I loved about this sketch was the amount of room it left for journaling. I really felt like I was able to recap my month to the fullest with this sketch.
While all of my layouts are different, they all start with kraft cardstock for the base, my Studio Calico month stamps, and my Maya Road scalloped circle sheer calendar. Looking through the submissions here, I was really inspired by some of the colors and interpretations of this sketch.
Shelly J blows me away every time. I can see how she was inspired by the sketch, but she flipped it, and I love her little circle embellishments. I also LOVE all the extra photos which tell her layout very well.
I liked this next one from Andrea too:
Instead of a circle, she used a scallop square. I like the look of this against the patterns behind it. I also like the cut out work with the flowers to fill up the white space. The yellow is really fresh too.
I love how Claire stuck with the sketch on her layout:
I like the green scalloped circle (did you create that yourself?) and the celadon photo mats that match the journaling block, which coordinates with the base paper, which is a pattern and not cardstock. I like that look.
Lastly is this fun design and pretty color palette from Delphine:
I love how she did the little bits of journaling and those great big numbers to highlight different events is really cool. I also really like how this two pager uses two different patterns as the base. They look great together!
Thank you again to those who played along this month! I know it gets harder in the summer months but think of all the fun photo opportunities you will have!
To get your juices flowing, here’s the June sketch again (remember to link your June sketches here or send them to us at ideas@scrapbookandcards.com to be included in our facebook P12 album!) :

It signifies importance and it’s a people-pleaser. Not everyone likes chocolate, not everyone likes marzipan, not every likes carrot, but everyone does like Verden’s Beste. And for good reason.
