Good Monday morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Easy, Detailed, Expert is one of our most popular articles in each issue. It is always so interesting to see how one designer takes their layout through the paces and shows how to incorporate different elements to build a layout. Vicki Boutin recently taught an "Easy, Detailed, Expert" class at ScrapFest featuring Imaginisce's Apple Cider line and we asked her to share it with us, along with instructions, so that you can have a quick and easy layout idea for today! We will share her Detailed and Expert layout on Wednesday. Today's challenge is to create a fall themed layout and adapt this layout to fit your style!
Supplies: Pattered paper, Imaginisce; Chipboard stickers, Imaginisce; brads and buttons, American Crafts; cardstock, Core'dinations.
To create the Give Thanks 12x12 layout: EASY
1. Trim a 7” x 10 ½” piece of the green doodle paper and round all four corners. Attach the paper 1” from the left side on the green cardstock and ¾” from the top.
2. Trim an 11” x 2” strip of the word paper and attach it along the left side of the layout, 5” from the top.
3. Trim an 8” x 1 ½” strip of the wood grain paper and cut a “v” shape in both ends. Attach on the word paper, 3/8” from the right side.
4. Add the “give thanks” chipboard piece with adhesive foam squares to the wood grain paper strip.
5. Punch two 1” circles from the orange cardstock and attach them on either side of the chipboard title. Add buttons and raccoon chipboard shape.
6. Photos: 2- 5 ½” x 3 ½”
