CHA Day One!

Good morning...and greetings from sunny California!  Becky and I are here at CHA and have had an incredible time this weekend (did I mention incredible?) looking at some of the incredible new products coming to a store near you!  Although the days are long, there is no doubt when you are surrounded by so much papercraft goodness, it does not really feel like work.  Armed with her camera and wanting to make sure our wonderful readers did not miss out (yes that's you!), Becky took these photos so that you could feel like you are right here with us!  A little like Christmas you say?  Oh yes it is!

Reader's Organization Idea!

Good morning!  Well the team is off to CHA in LA today!  Be sure to check in with us on Monday and Wednesday next week when Becky and I will be sharing some great photos of lots of new products coming your way.  

Today's organization idea comes from Antonia Krajicek of Arizona.  We loved how she repurposed a Pioneer photo album!  The exterior and interior of the album has been decorated and the interior pages replaced with 6 x 12 page protectors. Antonia says the binder sits on a bookshelf where it is easily accessible for daily use and also great for tossing into a tote to take along to a crop.

Monday's Designer Challenge recap!

If you joined us on Monday, Kimber showed a fabulous CardMaps sketch from Becky Fleck and inspiration from Veronica of Shabby Chic Crafts.  We are thrilled that many of you joined Kimber's challenge and today we have Kimber's card and some of yours too!

"I loved the general design of Becky's CardMap. Then I went to the inspiration for my colors and theme. I love how the doily on Veronica's jar mimicked the scallop square on the sketch. Then I added a red paper ribbon and hearts for a Valentine's Day theme.  The card also features new Corrugated Shapes, patterned paper and Kraft mini alphas by Jillibean Soup!

A Valentine's card challenge with Kimber!

 

Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I thought this week's challenge would be a great time to get a card or 2 done for your loved ones. How about a bit of inspiration AND a great sketch to work with?! 

 

Becky provided us this great Card Map to use as a start. Then I came upon the above great image via Tumblr. Have you been on www.tumblr.com before? HOLY INSPIRATION!!! This yummy jar of goodies was created by Veronica of Shabby Chic Crafts. You'll definitely want to hit her blog for many more AMAZING projects.
