Good morning! We have Sheri Reguly joining us again today to share more details of her "Something Special" project from our winter issue. We had so many requests to see more of this beautiful project we thought you might like to see it up close!
"I absolutely love the beautiful colors and patterns in Pink Paislee's "Sweetness Collection." As soon as I spotted the Flip Notes, the idea to create a calendar with them instantly came to mind. They originally included 18 pages in total. I simply removed the last row, creating a total of twelve...one for each month of the year.
My calendar was embellished with a variety of papers, stickers and rub ons, all from this stunning collection. The actual monthly calendars are a digital element that I resized and printed onto white cardstock. I then alternated cutting them out with either a large circle or scalloped circle punch. Each calendar page was given a slightly different design to add variety and interest.
SUPPLIES: Patterned Paper - Pink Paislee;Stickers (banner, numbers, scalloped border, glitter) - Pink Paislee; Flip Notes Spiral Notebook - Pink Paislee; Rub Ons - Pink Paislee; Adhesive Pearl Accents - Kaiser; Butterfly Dies - Sizzix for Stampin' Up!; Die Cutting Tool - Cuttlebug by ProvoCraft; Butterfly Punch - Martha Stewart Crafts; Scalloped Circle Punch - Marvy Uchida; Circle Punch - Marvy Uchida; Metallic Accents - Hero Arts; Decorative Scissors - Fiskars; Font - Kayleigh; Calendar - Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals (this item was slightly modified: I repositioned the month and changed it's font); Frame - Home Collection by Michaels (12" x 9")
I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but I also couldn't resist including a hint of this collection into the actual photo I used for my project. My daughter adores the pinwheel I created for her, and proudly displays it in her bedroom." ~ Sheri
A special thank you to Sheri for joining us this week with a fun challenge on Monday and for sharing her beautiful project in detail. Would you like to see more of Sheri's work? Make sure you look for her in our Spring issue due out late March!
