I am a big fan of ‘natural’ photographs – and by that I mean unposed and unguarded. But sometimes, a little planning can go a long way. Sometimes, a couple of well placed ‘props’ can go a long way!
1. Little hands love to hold things, whether that is other little hands or something they can cart around. When their hands are busy holding things, they’re not, um, scratching and picking, um, other things!
2. Special moments deserve special photographs. I knew this would more than likely be the last photo shoot I would do of my daughter and her 3 very best friends for quite some time, as they graduated and headed off to different universities. I wanted something that represented not only this watershed moment in their lives, but the sheer fun they bring to just about everything they do together. Enter: a big bunch of balloons!
3. Make a special photo even more special: a blank canvas is a great prop – you can snap your photograph and add your graphics or sentiment later:
Before:
Have you used props in any of your photos?
My challenge to you is, give it a try and once you do, scrapbook it of course!
Supplies: Overlays by Vol 25., Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Thickers, Dimensional Sticker and Pop Dots by American Crafts.
Have a great Monday! I'll be back on Wednesday with more tips and tricks!

I love the "blank canvas." The end result is very cool!
Props can work well with pets, too. Here's my favorite...
