Happy September! Today I’d like to share with you a spin-off of the ice cream mini-book tutorial from last summer. We are going to transform ice cream cones into cupcakes!
To refresh your memory, click here http://www.scrapbookandcards.com/ice-cream-books to make the basic ice cream cone shape.
1.The supplies to start making the cupcake is the folded ice cream cone, scissors, a pencil, and a ruler.
2. Draw a line across the ice cream cone.
3. You have 8 layers of cardstock to cut through which is likely to thick for your paper trimmer to cut all at once. First, cut across the line to the folded crease on the first page only. Open the page revealing the next layer. This gives you the guide to draw the line again to repeat the cut. Continue until you cut through all the page layers.
4. You should now have two portions, a cupcake bottom, and a smaller ice cream cone (which you can make a little mini ice cream cone book too!)
5. Cut out 4 large circles and adhere into each page sleeve.
Supplies: Nikki Sivils pattern paper, Theresa Collins ribbon blooms, Bazzill cardstock.
Wasn’t that the easiest cupcake recipe ever? Have fun decorating your cupcake book!
