Happy January! Do you have brads in your stash? Since I started scrapbooking, I’ve collected all sorts of brads in various colours, shapes, and styles. Today I created some fun winter tags to show some fun ways to use brads as decorative elements in your craft projects.
How about using a brad to mimic a photo clip? Just roll the brad top so that it is flush with the prongs and slip over a photo or journal mat. I just used a glue dot to hold the brad in place on my project.
How about using a brad as a ribbon scrunchie? Turn the brad over, slip the ribbon between the opened prongs and voila you have a really pretty ribbon detail.
Just for something different how about using a brad as a button topper? Open the prongs and adhere on top of a button and tie some twine around the brad.
Supplies: My Mind’s Eye pattern paper, Making Memories brads
Hope this inspires you to use your brads in different ways. If you have a unique way to use brads, be sure to share it in the comment section below!
