I don't know about you but I'm addicted to Pinterest. Having an app makes the search for daily inspiration within easy reach on my phone. If I'm not searching for home decor ideas, DIY projects, or salivating over photos of food, one of my favorite boards on Pinterest is my "Words" board. I love pinning quotes. I love looking at the different typography, and of course, being inspired by the things people say.
For the layout I wanted to share today, I decided to skim my "Words" board and use a quote. Sometimes with our photos, we don't have a specific story to tell. We just want to celebrate art and the people we love. I saw this quote from Shakespeare which is a beautiful way to describe Payton, my youngest, so paired it with a fierce photo of her for this project:
I mixed old and new product for this layout. I love trimming big shapes out of my patterned paper, so the flowers in the new My Minds Eye paper from the Sweetest Thing was a perfect choice to go with doilies from my stash. I used a butterfly again too. This is another shape I traced and hand cut. I just haven't found a butterfly punch big enough. I'm so glad I kept that chipboard negative to use again and again.
The quote was trimmed with my Cameo (the font is called Lobster Two). Every day I find more and more reasons I'm happy I made that purchase. With this layout I saved money on title alphas by utilizing a die cut machine and Shakespeare.
I found an extra wood button and also used a canvas button for this layout. A lot of bits and pieces came together to show the soft side of my fierce little girl. This girl will move mountains, I'm telling you. She's already determined that she's going to either hula hoop or be one of the "kids" in the "opening ceremony show" at the next Olympics. She wants to jump and down on a glow in the dark bed. Watch out. :)
Don't forget to check out the Scrapbook and Cards Today Pinterest board either. Always a lot of great projects, products, and ideas pinned there including PageMaps from Becky Fleck too!
Have a great Wednesday!
