"Hello blog readers! I am beyond excited to be apart of the Scrapbook & Cards Today family this week as a guest blogger! One of my favorite ways to get inspired is watching new trends and fun ideas pop up on Pinterest. Lately, I have been seeing a lot of pie charts all over the place and thought I would give it a try!
One thing I love to incorporate on my layouts, is to use a variety of different patterns and colours of paper and so I thought making a pie chart is a perfect way to do just that!
The best thing about making a pie chart is that it a great way to put those scraps of paper lying around to good use! There is no need to cut into big sheets of paper for this project – grab some of your favorite papers, mix them up and get to work!
Supplies: Patterned Paper, Chipboard, Diecut stickers, Washi tape, stamp: Bella Blvd., Cardstock: Bazzill, Buttons: My Mind’s Eye
Today, I challenge you to incorporate one or more pie charts onto a layout and share it with us here on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog! Come back to the blog on Wednesday for a quick tutorial on how to make a pie chart without the need for a fancy die cut machine!
~ Nicole Nowosad

I too love the whole idea of using pie charts in a fun way! Unfortunately I tend to associate them with some work (read unpleasant) task -- what a way to make my work more fun! Thanks for an incredible idea!

I guess one way to make templates for the pie chart paper piecing to our projects is to take any size circle and fold it in half 3 times. Cut the sections out using different number of pie pieces, i.e. 1/4 of pie, 1/6 of pie, 1/3 of pie. Use the cutouts as templates on your paper scraps and put the puzzles back together. Love ideas to use up scraps, especially on those papers that are our favorites.
