Hello SCT readers! Here is a quick and easy way to include lots of patterns and colors on your page. Create a patchwork background!
I've incorporated 9 different patterns by
layering and overlapping squares and rectangles to form a quilt-like block. For
added interest, I've tucked in a few Mini Deck cards (stamped with the date) as
well as some simple grid cards that I've embellished with black rub-on icons
and lettering. These black areas form a visual triangle with my photos on
top! For just a bit of girly flourish, I also fussy-cut a section of
eyelet lace from a paper and adhered it on the left side of my patchwork.
Go ahead and create your own patchwork background with some of your favourite papers! ~ Lisa Dickinson
What Lisa isn’t saying here, is that she used the beautiful new papers she designed for Jenni Bowlin! We absolutely fell in love with these papers at CHA and are thrilled to share them with one lucky winner today. If you would like to win the “Modern Mercantile” collection just leave a comment below by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11th!!! And if you are looking to brighten your day a little and have not ever stopped by Lisa Dickinson’s blog, you should. Funny girl!
Our editor extraordinaire, Becky Fleck, is up next with a great card and a great announcement! Don’t miss it!

Oh my gosh, I just keep looking at that jar! I love it! I just want to add some fire flies to it (almost that time of year here).
