Happy Wednesday all! It's midweek and we are having fun sharing the SCT design team with you! Today we are featuring the very talented Laura Vegas. We were thrilled when Laura joined the SCT team this year. Laura's perfect use of colour, strong design elements and great photography skills (she has some pretty cute subjects!) make her a perfect fit for our team! Inspiring every time!
"I have a habit of collecting a fun supply or tool, becoming addicted to using it on all of my projects for a few months, and then completely forgetting about it. This is exactly what happened with my cute little Cuttlebug machine and my collection of embossing folders. Recently, I bought a few new embossing folders and it gave me a great reason to get reacquainted with my love of embossing. I pulled out four of my current favorite embossing folders to create this layout.
I am a huge fan of tone-on-tone patterned papers, and they work really well with the embossing folders. While the dry embossing adds so much texture and dimension to your papers, the tone-on-tone patterns add an additional touch of interest with the subtle pattern designs. This was a good reminder to dig out some older, but still fabulous, tools and supplies from time to time and pair them right up with the latest and greatest papers and products that we all love to use.
Something that you may not know about me is that I'm a total neat freak when it comes to my scraproom. Especially my desk! When I see fellow scrappers share photos of their desktops piled high with projects in the works, supplies, scraps, and stacks of paper and finished layouts, there are two things that go thru my mind. First, I wish I could be like and be surrounded by a huge creative mess. And secondly, I think "what on earth??" I never have piles on my desk, and I pick up and put things away as I am creating a project. I have what I call a "GB" (aka, a garbage bowl) on my desk that I constantly throw all of my little scraps into, which then gets dumped into the garbage can on the floor. I will even stop what I am doing to pick up a dinky little scrap of paper that might fall on the floor, or a small piece of thread that I cut off the back of a button that falls on the desk. I just can't be creative if there's too much chaos around me ... or any chaos at all! ~ Laura Vegas

I really really love this layout, think I am going to use your idea and run with it, THANKS for the idea, and yes I am the same way about my scrapbook desk and room, and right now it needs my added attention really bad, and that is why I am not scrapbooking to much these days. I am in bad need of reorganization!!!LOL
