Is it too early to think about Christmas? This weekend it is only 4 months until Christmas. ACK! On that note, I have two fun Christmas cards to share with you that I created with the new Jillibean Soup Christmas Cheer Chowder! The whimsical Elves, Santa and his Reindeer are perfect elements to grace your cards, layouts and mini albums this upcoming season. There are adorable die-cuts such as the snow globe and tree that is made up of different color snow flakes that I used on my cards. The colors of this line are a mix of the traditional red, green and brown along with the trendier teals and pinks. I loved that this line has the new vintage inspired flash cards that coordinate with sentiments for the holiday!
The two cards I created with this line have a lot of layers just like you will be wearing as the air turns colder and we approach the Christmas season :)
To crate the Joy card, layer a large piece of the stripe pattern paper over the cream card base. Build a center panel with coordinating light blue and cream cardstock and adhere to the front of the card. Cut a wide band of the blue script pattern paper and ribbon cut both ends, add it to the front of the card. Tie two lengths of pink bakers twine through the end of the kraft tag and layer the kraft tag, joy flash card and die-cut tree on the front of the card. Finish the card by adding the die-cut pink snow flake, a blue star to the top of the tree and mini pearls.
To create this card, start with a large piece of red Soup Staples polka dot paper to cover the main part of the cream card base.
Using a large kraft as a base, adhere a scallop edged white piece of cardstock to the bottom edge of the tag. Trim to fit the width of the tag. Layer a wide green band of chevron pattern paper, medium width of blue script pattern paper and a thin strip of red/white polka dot pattern paper. Ribbon cut the left end of each of the papers. Adhere the ho ho ho vintage flash card to the front of the tag and secure with staples. Adhere the kraft tag to the front of the card and add some white string to the top of the tag and tie into a bow.
Finish the card by adding the snow globe with red bakers twine wrapped around the base. Dot a small amount of glue to the blue portion of the snow globe and sprinkle with glitter. Finally add the North Pole die cut with foam adhesive squares. ~ Kimber
