Good morning and welcome to the weekend...and a brand new feature ~ Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday! On the first Saturday of each month you can wake up to fantastic seasonal inspiration by some of our favourite Stampin' Up! demonstrators showcasing some of the beautiful new products available. From cards to layouts to home decor and so much more, you'll see the projects and even have an opportunity to win some great products too! Let's get started...
This Thankful Tablescapes Kit was introduced by Stampin’ Up! with the release of the new Holiday Catalogue. Any table can be transformed into a showstopper with this fun kit!
So we know it’s perfect for creating a beautiful table any time this fall, but what about some bonus project ideas using the Tablescapes Kit? Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Allison Okamitsu from Calgary, Alberta has some great projects to share with you! Allison has been a demonstrator for 4 years and is a former pastry chef.
A few words from Allison about her projects:
I’m a home decor junkie! I love seasonal decorations and I’m often making my own. The birch paper ribbon that comes in the Thankful Tablescapes Kit is fabulous and added just the right touch to my project. With just a few additions like Burlap Ribbon, the Truly Grateful Stamp Set and some co-ordinating ink pads, this kit makes a stunning banner!
I like to add little touches of seasonal decorations all over my house, so I thought this frame would be great to bring some of the same elements from the theme of my table and mantle into another room in my home. It was easy to mod podge the birch paper from the Tablescapes Kit to a simple frame and then adhere my paper banner to the front of the glass.
While at Stampin’ Up! Convention this summer I attended a class on mixed media, and I was really surprised at how easy it looked. I used the many patterns of designer paper in the Tablescapes Kit to create the fun canvas.
I went a little wild with this card, I’ll be the first to admit it. I used stamps, ink pads, punches, cardstock, and even a toothpick! But it’s the pocket envelope that’s made from one of the napkin holders in the Thankful Tablescapes Kit that makes this card set so awesome! I think this card and envelope would be a great way to use up any leftovers from your kit once your dinner party is over.
Thank you so much for allowing me to share my love of the Thankful Tablescapes Kit with you. I hope that you can find some ideas here that inspire you to create something wonderful with your kit too!
~ Allison
