Good morning Scrapbook & Cards Today fans! I am back again on the blog to share a couple pages I recently made. If you have ever been fortunate to attend one of the Scrapbook & Cards Today Crop & Create events you will know that one of the highlights (of which there are many) is the goodie bag. Who doesn’t love going to a crop and getting a bag of fun handed to them when they walk in the door!
I recently attended the Crop & Create event in Thunder Bay, Ontario and was lucky enough to get my paws on the goodie bag! I had brought along with me a lot of scrapping stuff… but I really have no idea why - as almost everything I used on these pages came from the goodie bag from the event!
Although there are some great instructions to make some fantastic layouts, I decided to go my own way with the goodie bag and add in a few items from my ever growing stash.
Here is what I came up with.
The background was made with a lot of patterned paper folded into triangles and layered over some cardstock and then stitched into a quilt like pattern. Creating backgrounds like this is probably one of my most favorite things to do lately!
Supplies: Patterned Paper (We R Memory Keepers, My Mind’s Eye, Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy for American Crafts, Crate Paper), Paperclips (Webster’s Pages), Alphabet (American Crafts.), Die Cuts (Crate Paper, American Crafts), Chipboard (Crate Paper), Fabric Frames (Crate Paper), Photo overlay (Crate Paper), Stickers (Little Yellow Bicycle), Enamel Dots (My Mind’s Eye), Sequins
I wanted to take a more masculine approach with virtually the same products and this was the result:
I was really inspired again to add a lot of stitching to my page and so I punched a lot of circles and then sewed them down, and around the circles to create the background pattern on the cool chalkboard paper from the goodie bag!
Supplies: Patterned Paper (We R Memory Keepers, My Mind’s Eye, Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy for American Crafts, Crate Paper), Brads (Basic Grey), Alphabet (American Crafts), Die Cuts (Basic Grey), Paperclip (Webster’s Pages), Vellum
I added in a metallic cut star that I hand drew and a Silhouette Cameo cut title to finish off the page!
Thanks so much for joining me again today on the blog! Hope to see you at a Crop & Create event soon! Registration for the Markham, Ontario event is now open here and registration for Moncton, New Brunswick opens next Monday, November 18th! More information on these events can be found here.
