Seeing that mood boards are so popular for inspiration I wanted to give it a try! I created my own mood board using supplies I have in my scraproom thinking this would be a great way to inspire my creations and personally I kind of love how it looks!
my list of supplies.
- White Card base
- My Minds Eye papers
- Memento Luxe Inks- tuxedo black, angel pink
- Tsukineko- fantastix colouring tool bullet point
- Stickles- diamond clear glitter glue
- Doily- from Germany (one of my MIL's travel finds)
- American Crafts- black glitter tape
- Unity Stamp Company- Completely Insane stamp by Angie Blom
- random sequins
I started by paper piecing some of the border paper that I cut into 1/2 inch strips along with a doily which I cut in half. I also wanted some of the chevron pattern in it's shape for contrast.
On the white card base I stamped the image using black ink.
I layered the strips of papers on the white cardstock allowing the doily to fit under the last two layers and then trimmed off any excess from the sides.
I cut some black glitter tape and made two banners, one for the middle of the layered papers and one for the top right corner.
Using the fantastix pen (or a q- tip will do!) I added some pink colour to the tip and layered it on top of the stamped flower.
If the colour gets outside the lines that is totally okay!
Add glitter glue in small circles around the sentiment of the stamped image, add some sequins on top and leave some of the circles just glitter glued. It gives some bling to the plain white paper. Then allow the glue to air dry.
I love how the mood board inspired me to create this card and hope you make your own mood board that sparks inspiration in you too!
