Build a Bow, Yo!
Once a month, I thought it would be fun to offer you a quick trend-related tutorial. How does that sound? In this case, I thought I’d show you one of my favorite ways to make a bow.
What You’ll Need
Crepe Paper (or any light-weight paper) + Washi Tape (or other decorative tape) + Stapler + 5 minutes (yup, it’s as quick as it is easy).
Step 1: Fold 20” (approximately) strip of crepe over in half.
Step 2: Fold into thirds, overlapping by about 1/2” in the center.
Step 3: Pinch center together, forming bow shape.
Step 4: Staple to secure.
Step 5: Wrap washi tape around center.
It’s a regular bow-nanza!
Here are additional bows I created following the same approach but with different paper.
Bow-nus
This bow show continues on my blog, with an additional bow technique made using a basic heart punch. Plus, I put the bows from this post to work on a few different projects.

Hey Megan, thanks for this tutorial and your additional bowing presentation of ideas! Really like the idea of scrunching up paper for and easy bowing touch to a card. Will definitely use this idea on a card with some bowtastic washi! Enjoyed your post as usual! Thanks.

This wonderful Article, and Tutorial, is Bow-tastic. It also has me all wound up and Bow-ribboned. It is so nice to see an Old Trend come back around to be a New Trend. I Love how you showed us all the Bow-licious Products and I am excited that Bows with Mini Clothes Pins are back. How easy will it be to make my own batch, since I have some mini plain clothes pins in my stash, and attach them to my Cards and Scrapbook Pages. It could hold a Gift Card, a Photo., a Journal Card, etc. Look how easy it is too make them. Thank you Megan for the inspiration.
