Looking for someone to point your crafting in the right direction? Look no further. It’s the arrow trend! Just like the hearts we discussed in an earlier post, this look is about more than Cupid. Some would say we have the Hunger Games series and Miss Katniss Everdeen to thank for the arrow trend, ahem, catching fire.
Maybe it is this sharp shooter. Or perhaps its the popularity of the chevron trend, which is still going strong, as the arrow shares its angular attributes.

No matter the reason, it’s easy to see a major arrow attraction going on.

Follow Your Arrow
When I first heard this song by Kacey Musgraves, it was like Cupid shot an arrow straight through my heart. And I’m not even a country music fan for the most part. Life can be confusing at times, and this song is a lovely reminder that we need to be true to ourselves. Not always an easy thing to do, but oh, so important. I hope you’ll take a listen.

Well, I think I’ve made my point—arrows are impressive! Feeling inspired? Tell me, how do you see yourself applying arrows?
Here’s a little paper straw arrow I made using micro beads from American Crafts and amazing foam hearts from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Find instructions for this arrow and a layout I created using this embellishment on my blog today.
Thanks for following your arrow here today. You make my Mondays brighter, and I’m glad I have this chance to connect with you!
Warmly,
We are continuing our birthday celebration and our 80+K fans on Facebook too! We could not think of a better way to kick of this week's celebration than with a prize from one of our favourite companies. American Crafts have been a HUGE supporter of everything we do at the magazine and they were excited to celebrate with us too. Have a peek at today's amazing prize...
It's the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer's collection! Full of whimsy we've come to love from the Dear Lizzy collections, it has a fantastic die, stamps, papers and SO much more and you can have a chance to win it! Each day we will post a prize here and the same prize on our Facebook page and you can either post a comment below to win or on the Facebook post referencing this prize. We will combine them together and on April 11th we will announce all the winners here and on Facebook too! One winner will be chosen for each day. Good luck!
After you leave a comment, please take a moment to give American Crafts an "SCT thank you!" on their Facebook page. They love hearing from you and we appreciate you letting them know how much we all love the prizes they offer. Thank you :)
Have a wonderful Monday friends! We have a busy week lined up for you and can't wait to share inspiration all week long!

Loved all of the projects with arrows. The hanging box that is pointing off to the side is my favorite. The paper projects using arrows were great too. Hadn't really realized that arrows are a theme - but now that you mentioned it I see where there are a lot of arrow themed projects on the blogs. Congratulations on your anniversary. Best wishes for many more.
