Did you see yesterday's post by Virginia Fynes and her behind the scenes look at My Mind's Eye? Today Virginia will share her fabulous "BTS" with We R Memory Keepers!
"I was fortunate to visit We R Memory Keepers Corporate Office while on a recent trip to Utah. Besides the hotel staff, these friendly folks we’re some of the first locals I had the opportunity to meet on my adventure.
This early morning trip had me squirming in my seat, I don’t know if it was because I would be so close to the action, or because I knew I would be surrounded by so much inspiration… definitely a bit of both!
If you asked me before I went on this tour what I knew about the company I would have said they have awesome tools, unique paper, and cool embellishments. Ask me that question post tour and I’d tell you that WRMK is a powerhouse of not only scrapbooking supplies and tools but also a business dripping with family ties and deep history.
To start with who knew that We R Memory Keepers is over 90 years old?! It’s always been a family business and has now passed through the hands of 4 generations. It began as a bookbindery and has now emerged into one of the premier sources for scrapbook albums and supplies.
The next tidbit that knocked me off my socks- WRMK still hand makes a lot of their albums; they even do custom albums for some businesses and Universities! I would have never imagined they still manufactured a portion right on site!
They have two warehouses, the one here at the office, and a second also in Salt Lake City. I couldn’t get over the crazy amount of boxes filled with all those beautiful supplies. It seemed like the warehouse went on forever.
All right, I’m done with the history lesson. Now lets get to the pretty stuff.
The WRMK office has a store open to the general public, so if you’re in Salt Lake, get up and go now. I couldn’t believe the selection, and the price was well below what we’d pay here in Canada, I was only sad I didn’t have a larger suitcase.
Can you believe this selection of albums? I’ll take one of each please!
I’m very sad I didn’t take more photos of the offices; they were all so pretty and had unique personal touches. I had the chance to meet with the designers and see where the magic happens.
But this is where the real magic happens, where they pow-wow, try out new products, paper play… and shoot hoops!
Huge thanks to Jenny for the fun tour of We R Memory Keepers, I was so amazed with the history behind the company, I can’t wait to see what they have in store next!
Lucky you. Wouldn't that be a dream, to have a large suitcase, unlimited $$ and a couple hours to shop in their on-site store. Unfortunately it's a long way from Winnipeg to Salt Lake City!!

WOW---!!! 90 years old?? WOW! That is inspiring! I adore their products!! If only Salt Lake City weren't so far away from Quebec...but a gal can dream, no??

I live in Salt Lake, I am going up there. I did not know that they have a showroom. I love their products, always buy them from HSN when they are on. They truly have some of the best made products on the market. Thanks for the pictures of your tour.

Sounds like a great place to work AND visit! I have to admit that when I saw BTS I thought "between the sheets (of paper)". LOL
Great pictures and maybe someday I will be healthy enough to travel. I would do a tour of all the great Scrapbooking companies in Utah! I am discovering that there are quite a few there! TFS!
