Hey all, hope you are having a wonderful summer! I love pretty scrapbook papers so it’s no surprise that I love pretty gift wrapping paper too. I was immediately drawn to this pretty blue chevron roll and I just had to have it! I was wrapping a present and in the midst of cutting through the roll of paper I noticed it had a very special feel, a waxy kind of of quality. I dug out the original packaging and saw that the paper is actually made of stone. Very cool! Then I thought hmmm…I’m gonna try running this paper through my diecuts, because that is was we crafters do when we are giddy and excited about paper right? To my surprise it cut perfectly and cleanly through my library pocket die. Inspired by this accidental discovery, I used the pocket for my card to match the present!
Now my problem is that I’m saving this roll of paper for special occasions only, you know just like all the other special scrapbook papers in my stash- because that is what we crafters do, LOL!
Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful and fun idea...thanks for sharing this great tip for using wrapping paper in scrapping!

I found this same paper at HomeGoods here in MD....the paper is very neat and thick. I love your idea and its funny I was thinking of playing with it myself when I bought it.
