Thanks for joining us for another fabulous Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday post! Today we’re featuring projects made with the brand new Flower Patch Bundle, which includes the Flower Patch stamp set and the co-ordinating Flower Fair Framelits.
Our friends at Stampin’ Up! are absolutely spoiling us today with some incredibly creative projects made by two of their amazing Demonstrators, Martha Inchley and Linda Yamamoto. Let’s see what they have to share with us.
Let’s hear what Martha has to say about her projects.
“I love creating little packages of cards to give away. After creating the flower cards, I thought it would be cute to package them up in “crate” envelopes and a little "crate" box to make them look like they were fresh off the farm.”
“Sometimes its nice to keep things simple and I love how you can do that with just the Flower Fair Framelits. They coordinate so well that you can layer the cut outs together or even cut them out within each other.”
“With a simple swipe of my bone folder on each petal, I was able to create "blooming" flowers to coordinate with the Happy Blooming Birthday greeting.”
“I thought it would be fun to make an actual stemmed flower with the Flower Patch Bundle. I filled a 1" X 8" Cellophane Bag with green candies to create my stem, and then added a layered flower on top to complete the look. Wouldn't it be cute to have a vase full of these flowers to hand out to your party guests as a thank you?”
“The petal flower is the perfect stamp image to add a little dimension to. Simply stamp it 4 times and cut out the different layers. The spaces between the petals makes it easy to cut out each layer with an even border, just like the framelit, which cuts your first layer.”
“When I saw how easy it was to cut out a whole bunch of the different flowers and leaves in the Flower Patch Bundle, I couldn't resist making a paper lei.”
“I always like to think outside the box and look for new and innovative ways to use my product. I know what I'm suppose to create with the Flower Patch Bundle, but is there anything else I can create with it? When I saw how many stamp images I could layer to create a leaf, I started thinking about all the layers of feathers a peacock has.”
“I love how images can change once you start stamping with them. As I was stamping the stem, one on top of the other, I started seeing kelp or seaweed. The tiny leaf stamped side by side started to look like water, and the petal flower started looking like scales of a fish or rocks. The coordinating Flower Fair Framelits helped my underwater adventure come to life.”
Thank you so much Martha for sharing your incredibly innovative ideas with us! Demonstrator Linda Yamamoto also has some fantastic projects for us today.
Here’s what Linda had to say about her projects:
“I love coordinating stamp sets and framelit dies, it makes my paper crafting quick and easy! It's so easy to stamp a bunch of flowers in various colours, die cut them and add them to a card front. I used a second generation image (ink the stamp, then stamp onto scrap paper before stamping onto cardstock) to allow the sentiment to stand out.”
“The seed holder packet is a favourite way of mine to present a little gift. Punch a hole at the top of the sleeve, feed the ribbon through, then insert the packet and tie the ribbon at the top. When the recipient pulls up the ribbon, the seed packet emerges - and this sentiment is just perfect for the package!”
“This Smoky Slate and Silver card is an elegant, monochromatic take on the floral theme. The initial images were stamped in Smokey Slate, then masked with sticky notes that were die cut with the coordinating framelit. When the next images were stamped, it created a layered look. I love the combination of the grey and metallic silver, and who doesn't love a bit of bling?!”
