Hello SCT readers! I am so excited to be part of the World Cardmaking Day celebration with SCT and can't wait to see what the other designers have in store (I know it'll be great)! For now, I'll share the design that I came up with referencing the sketch on page 26 of CardMaps 4.
I immediately gravitated toward the circles with the negative space. Instead of using circles I went with a flower design.
You can create this look with a cutting machine, ready-made die-cut paper or a good old-fashioned xacto knife and cutting mat. Use of negative space gives the illusion of depth without adding the bulk so it sits nice and flat and is easy to pop in the mail to brighten someone’s day.
Be sure to check back at 9:00 to see Summer Fullerton's inspiring work!
