Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog: Happy 9th birthday celebration

Thank you so much for joining us for day TWO of our 9th birthday celebration! Day one was amazing and all your comments were so wonderful and inspiring to read! If you're just joining us for the first time, be sure to check out yesterday's post!

Today, design team member Marla Kress joins us with the sweetest party gift and some great instruction on how to recreate one!

"Thankfully, Nicole’s cutting file did most of the work! I cut out the party hat with my Silhouette and tacked it onto my mug. I coated the mug with spray paint and peeled off the party hat paper once everything was dry. Tip: Use Goo Gone to remove any remaining adhesive from the glass. Add strips of washi tape to decorate the hat."

Next, I filled the jar with candy and capped it with a flat lid. Then I placed a cupcake liner that I had on hand over the flat lid. This gives the little ruffle on top. I layered on a decorative circle and then screwed the ring cap over everything. I added a strip of paper outside of the ring for some extra design.

Finally, I used the “Make A Wish” design from Nicole’s file. I added color to the stars in my Silhouette program and printed it out to create the tag. Thanks again Nicole for the super fun cutting file.
