Hello SCT readers! Although the weather is slowly starting to warm up in my neck of the woods, we are still a long way off from those hot summer days that I love oh so much. What better way to brighten up the days of April showers, than with a fun filled summertime layout!
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Webster’s Pages; Wooden Veneer Accents: Studio Calico; Enamel Dots: Simple Stories, My Mind’s Eye; Kraft Journaling Label: Maya Road; Rub On: Crate Paper, Label Sticker: Gossamer Blue, Felt Bow: Bella Blvd; Paper Doily: Doodlebug Designs
I recently stumbled across some favorite photos from several years back, and the memories of those precious days instantly came flooding back. My daughter had outgrown the toddler years, and my son wasn’t quite into the tween phase yet. For a couple of brief years, they were both simply kids, at the very same time. They were the very best of friends, and they’d spend so many of their summer days laughing and playing together in the backyard. All too soon their age difference became more relevant, and interests quickly changed. Although new happy memories are constantly being made, I have to admit, those were some of our happiest of days.
As I created this layout, I was reminded of just how quickly the years go by, and to cherish (and document) every happy moment, no matter how big or small!
