Happy NSD Scrapbooking & Cards Today readers, Marla Kress here! Today I want to share a tip (or maybe it’s a trick) that I use when creating almost every project. It’s nothing fancy and seems very basic but trust me, it’s a life changer!
So this is a quilting ruler and if you don’t already have one in your scrapbooking/cardmaking/papercrafting toolbox, you should. It is the key to keeping things lined up. Faux stitching? Sticker titles? Multiple photos? Line them up with this guy (or gal!)
Here is my layout in progress.
I used four square photos and was going to faux stitch all around. The quilting ruler helped keep me evenly spaced using pencil lines. And again for the marker detail
I even used it to place the title.
Thank you for checking in and I hope this tip helps! If you already use a quilting ruler I’d love to hear how you use it and if you’re happy with the results.

Beautiful, beautiful layout!!!! And I don't know why I never thought to use a quilting ruler! I have one of the those clear paper crafting ones, but it's flimsy. I'd like the thickness of this better!
