As this incredible day draws to a close we want to share something special with you, our "Bring a Smile to a Child" campaign. Each year we send between 500 - 700 cards to children's hospitals across North America. We do this in partnership with Crafting for a Cure, a not-for-profit charity that goes in to hospitals to craft with children and create spaces that helps them escape their troubles if even for a few minutes. We love this charity and we love knowing we've brought a smile to a child. We also love that each year our readers send in cards from all over the world to these children. It's all about kindness and creating smiles where ever we go.
Would you like to join us? It's easy. Create an inspirational child or youth themed card and send it to us. We only ask that your card not say "get well soon." An inspirational quote goes a long way! You can send your card or cards to us at:
Scrapbook & Cards Today
"Bring A Smile"
139 Church Street
Markham, Ontario
L3P 2M2
We will donate these cards to Crafting For a Cure in early November at a special presentation!
We also asked a few of our friends to share cards too. Designer and cardmaker Jennifer McGuire created these cute monster themed cards:
Our friend Angie Blom who is the creator of the Angie Girls and Whimsy Girls series with Unity Stamp Co. created this sweet card...
And this super cute "Geek is Chic" card by Allison Cope!

I have really gotten in to making cards and have quite a few now and not enough people to send them out to. So I have been looking for organization to send them to. I will definitely look through all of them and try and find some appropriate ones to send your way. Thank you so much for this day! It has been a blast!

What a great way to help such a worthy cause! We all make cards to let people know that we care and to hopefully put a smile on their face. Who better to make smile and to let them know that someone cares but a child who is struggling with illness. Thanks SCT for encouraging us to use our talents to brighten the day of young people who need it! Thanks Echo Park and Kraftin' Kimmie for your most generous prizes and for your support of WCMD!
