Good morning SCT friends! We've hope you've been having a great week and enjoy some holiday spirit! As the new year approaches we are excited to see this brand new class from our Art Director and designer Cathy Zielske call FIT. Perfect timing one might say!
"Fit is a year-long workshop designed to keep you inspired and accountable in the arena of self-care. For 12 months, we’ll be documenting and connecting to stuff that makes this process work well, as well as the stuff that can get in the way of success. With a 6 x 8 scrapbook to house our stories, we’ll track our progress throughout the year, together.
This is not a workout class. This is a not a nutrition class. This is a class designed to help you connect to what is needed in your life to make real and lasting changes. What are the best ways you can exercise? What are the foods that your body needs? How can you make this process even more personal? These aren’t always easy questions to answer. I speak from years of experience. But I’d like to invite you to join me in 2016 for a year of focusing on you, and working to do better." ~ Cathy Zielske
We are thrilled today to offer this class to two lucky readers! Share one of your goal with us for 2016 in the comment section below by January 7th and on January 8th we'll announce the two winners! Good luck!
As the year draws to a close we want to take a moment to wish all our readers a very Happy New Year. We also want to thank you for helping us to create our most successful year ever! With readers in 120 countries around the globe we love and appreciate all your kind comments, emails and support! We will take the next year to celebrate our 10th birthday and we hope you’ll join us all year long for fun challenges, surprises, prizes and more!
From our SCT home to your home, may all your dreams from the last year turn into achievements during this New Year! Wishing you health, happiness and peace in 2016.
~ Catherine and the SCT team
In 2016 I want to learn how to make healthier choices in what I eat, how I exercise and my overall well being.

Last year I compiled a "50 things to do in my 50th year" and this year I am going to continue on that journey of self discovery by doing more of the things I enjoy/need; getting more sleep, daily activities, reading, hobbies, having fun with friends and generally taking care of my self.

A goal for 2016? To get MY schedule organized to coordinate with my PROJECTS list. Projects meaning home improvements and upgrades, yard improvements, scrapbook albums, and sewing. Organizing those events would be a WONDERFUL thing for ME! Thanks so much for offering this course!

One of my goals is to continue my weight loss journey (already down 100 pounds) and drop another 25. One of my creative goals is to scrapbook at least once a month.

2015 was a tough year for me. I lost my mom after a lengthy illness. And somewhere along the way, several of my closest crafting friends distanced themselves from me. It seemed like they would/ could only be my friends if things were good and happy, but not when things were dark,...when I needed them most. I know new friends will come along, but it has still been a tough road (and I still only had one mom who can't be replaced.)
I need to break out of this inertia and start getting out into the world again. New friends, new activities, healthier mind and body. My goal is to start those baby steps ......

This class sounds so interesting and like something I need in my life. I am very intrigued. My main goal this year is to create a more positive outlook and stop worrying about everything, which then ties in with my health goals, as worry and anxiety tend to drive up my blood sugar. Thanks for this opportunity, my birthday is Friday, so I have my fingers crossed!

My goal for 2016 is to Exfoliate: to purposefully slough off the old, useless, and no longer beneficial. I need to exfoliate bad habits, bad medicines, bad advice, and bad feelings about myself. I have lupus and a number of other autoimmune diseases. This year is my year!

My main goal this 2016 new year is to completely declutter my home & my life! I've been getting myself set up for this & being able to do this with FIT would be the ticket to success!! Thank you so much for this chance to bolster my determination!! You continue to Rock swell SCT!!! Happy New Year 🎉

What a wonderful way to start the New Year! One of my main goals in the upcoming year is to be more intentional with my time. I fritter away far too much in doing things that don't enrich my life - I'm looking at you, Pinterest! I also need to move my body more - I reached my goal weight one year ago, but need to work on my fitness level.

My goal for 2016 is to succeed in finding ways to be kind where it is needed - and I do believe it is needed everywhere :) and always :).

As the mom of 2 special-needs kids, I have to work hard to take care of myself, which is more difficult due to SAD. This sounds like a good tool to help in this.

My word for the year is Change. That is all aspects of my life. I have some medical issues that need to be addressed and this is the year I will get answers. I deserve it.

My goal for 2016 is to care enough about myself to make the changes I need to be a healthier person. Mentally, physically and emotionally.
Maybe this will be what makes it click for me, that turning-point moment that people speak of...
