Good morning! We are excited to share Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday with you in 2016! Each month our friends from Stampin' Up! will join us to share a creative tutorial showcasing a new product from their catalog! Today we have Artisan Design Team member Cindy Schuster here to share a brand new Thinlets Dies and stamps bundle AND three ways to use them!
"Hello everyone! I am very excited to showcase one of the new bundles from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog that will be going live on January 5th! It is the Sunburst Thinlits Die and the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set Bundle. It is available in the Wood Mount Stamp Set #140808 or the Clear Mount Stamp Set #140807. I wanted to share with you today three unique ways to use the Starburst Thinlits Die of the bundle.
For my first card, I simply took the sunburst die and cut it down to create a shining sun with different size rays. I also used many of the stamp images from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp set for the background, greetings and balloon.
Next is a way to just use the Sunburst Thinlit Die as a template. I took my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and drew the outlines of the die. It created a burst effect on my card. I also found that the main script greetings from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set fit perfectly in the center of the sunburst.
Finally in this last one, I wanted to make the rays in between different colors. I cut three of the sunburst dies in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Calypso Coral cardstock but keeping the negative pieces. Now cut one positive piece in Whisper White Cardstock. Then I began the process of cutting the negative pieces and placing them in order on the positive piece. Add them on top of your card base with adhesive. Once completed, turn over and cut off the excess. You can also make two more bonus cards with the leftover negative pieces.
There are so many other ways to use the Sunburst Thinlits Die and you can find more different examples on page 25 of the Stampin’ UP Occasions Catalog when it releases on Tuesday! It is the perfect die for endless creativity." ~ Cindy
Our friends at Stampin' Up! would love to share the Sunburst Thinlits Die and the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set Bundle with one lucky SCT reader too! For an opportunity to be entered to win, be sure to leave a comment below by January 30th! In your comments, tell us what Stampin' Up! product in your craft space you absolutely, hands down, cannot live without! (for me it would be my 1" circle punch! I've used it hundreds of times!) Good luck!
Thank you for sharing these great projects Cindy and a special thanks to Stampin' Up! for sharing a great prize package this month!
~ Catherine

Oooh, I really like this die & sentiment set.
One of my most used Stampin' Up products is the top notch die. I've used it for treat toppers, on cards, & also on layouts.

My paper trimmer - it's loss would be devastating.
I love that it has the scorer and the blade attached.
The base is big enough to cut my greeting cards without having to extend the extra handle.
It has storage.
I have this sunburst die and will be using it next week for a class.
Love it.
thanks

so cute! love all of the projects with this fun die! :)
gosh, for me it's a toss up between the little bitty banner punch, the linen thread, the spray mist stamp cleaner, or the ink squirty tool (I can never remember what the real name is - but it's the thing you put your marker in to spray little ink droplets all over your project. grins!).
but then again, how can I forget my inks that I use on EVERY SINGLE PROJECT I MAKE!!!!! I use them for watercoloring.
guess you can see how crucial SU! is for my crafting! :)

Those cards are adorable and show the versatility of this product. I absolutely love my little trimmer. I couldn't make cards without it as I am very fussy about everything lining up perfectly!

That would be my SU trimmer. It is by far my favourite trimmer, and I've tried quite a few over the years. My SU trimmer cuts and scores, never jams, and never tears. Love it!!!
