Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog: 10th Birthday Celebration

"I’m thrilled to be blogging today for Scrapbook & Cards Today as we kick off our 10th year celebration both in print and online. Ten years in the publishing business, especially in our crafty business, is a long time, people, and I am honored to have part of the past year.

I know a little something about milestones having just celebrated my 50th birthday. I’m of the firm believe that birthdays are something to be celebrated out loud and for as often as we can get away with it. Still, there is something about the odometer of life ticking off these decade marking occasions that feels like a really big deal.

I love the idea of making a list of things to match your age. I recently made this page to celebrate turning 50 and aptly titled it “50 things I’m grateful for at 50”.

How fun would it be to have a layout like this from every age? As parents, we could make a page for our 10-year-olds, giving them topics and having them fill in the blanks. We could do it for our 20-year-olds, too. Why not?

I plan do do a page like this for every remaining decade that I get to be here and in that spirit, I have a sheet of printable mini banners like the one I used on my page for you to download today. You could apply them to any subject that included these milestone numbers.
