Hello and happy (inter)NSD! I hope you’ve been having fun thus far. I just love days dedicated to creativity. Seeing all of the projects floating around out there is something special. I spend much time screen-shotting, pinning, and more—continuing to build my library of ideas. Call me biased, but one of my favorite places to find ideas is in our magazine. Our readers are so imaginative! As soon as I laid eyes on this submission to our Inspiration Gallery by Suzanna Lee, I wanted to create.
One reason I love a good scraplift is because I can go in with a very definite plan—not always the case when I create from scratch. Having a plan makes it easy to have a handful of supply possibilities ready going in.
The first thing that, ahem, hopped out at me about Suzanna’s page were here cute pattern-on-pattern bunnies, which she die cut. Wanting a similar look, I turned to punches.
Find a complete step-by-step tutorial for creating Mr. Cottontail on my website, as well as a bonus bunny project.
Beyond the bunnies, here are a few more similarities.
1. The theme. But this sketch would work well for ANY theme that includes lots of pics). I did change up the title a bit.
2. The handwritten journaling along the bottom. While I’m not a huge fan of my handwriting, I try to add at least a bit to every page I create. I LOVE seeing my grandma’s script on things and hope my own grand babes will feel that way about my work someday.
3. Suzanna did such a nice job sprinkling in subtle details. I didn’t add the exact same accents, but I did add dress the base grid up a bit with stickers, a doily, and such.
4. The column of color down the side of Suzanna’s page really caught my eye. I created a similar design, stitching a strip of patterned paper to the right side of the layout.
All in all, I adore the way my page turned out. It allowed me to get several favorite photos on a single layout, and since I began with an awesome inspiration springboard, it didn’t take me days to create. Thank you, Suzanna, for putting my creative wheels in motion! I think our pages make a good team!
To see how I scrapbooked the rest of my easter photos (well, made a small dent, at least) check out my blog for the pocket page companion to this lead layout.
Happy (inter)NSD, creative friends! I hope you enjoy celebrating such a worthwhile hobby and art!

I stitch on my cards and layouts all the time. It's a great way to add texture. Awesome prizes once again. Love Bo Bunny products! I've never tried the other prize goodies but I love experimenting so that would be an awesome win too.

Love scrap lifting from your magazine too, especially when I can substitute old supplies like punches. Thank you for all the years of inspiration!

Love both layouts, but there's something special and soothing about Megan's interpretation. I think it's the colour palette, which is one I've never seen used on Easter layouts before.
