Hello! Hope everyone had a great National Scrapbook Day weekend! For today’s blog post I am going to be a little nostalgic and pay homage to one of my first scrapbooking supplies. Brads! I still have lots of them and once in a while I have to remind myself to use them more often. Here on my page (inspired by PageMaps, and Just Nick’s cutting files) I used some star shaped brads along the little border strip as a subtle accent.
A really simple way to dress up brads is to tie a few loops or twine or jute and anchor them behind the brad before adding them to your project. Easy peasy!
I hope this inspires you to dig into your stash and use a brad or two, have a wonderful day!
Thanks for reminding me to use up my brads.

That is a good way to dress up plain brads. I'll be putting that tip to good use when I do layouts for my grandsons....who don't want flowers or glitter on their pages...but a twine bow behind a brad would be acceptable...boys are just miniature men!!!!

I miss some of those really neat embellishments that aren't in vogue right now like buttons, brads, bling, ribbon, eyelet brads and a few others! They still can really make a difference in a layout!

I don't have many brads.. but they are fun to use when I have something that matches :)
